| dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, we investigate the binary star systems AK Aqr and KZ Eri observed in the TESS (The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) field, which display light variation like binary stars. Binaries, as opposed to single stars, play a very crucial role in the provision of accurate data of light variation and radial velocity of the star. Therefore, our research is based on determining the orbital, evolutionary and absolute parameters of the stars AK Aqr and KZ Eri. The MAST (Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes Portal) online interface was used to collect data for the targets. The PHOEBE software, established on the Wilson-Devinney binary code, is used to evaluate the light curves. A python application was created to automate the download of the enormous list of the two selected stars. The PHOEBE is used to assess the curve for AK Aqr in over contact binary. Principal component's effective temperature is set at 8000 K during the solution. The inclination 𝑖, the secondary component temperature 𝑇2 , the mass ratio 𝑞, the surface potential values Ω1 = Ω2 , and the primary component luminosity 𝐿1 are all changeable factors. The limb darkening coefficients (𝑥2 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑥1 ) are selected based on temperature data from Claret (2017), which provides the TESS light curve values. The semi-detached configuration is assumed during the solution of KZ Eri, because the light curve exhibits obvious similarities to classical semi-detached binaries. During the solution, the surface potential values Ω1 = Ω2 , the inclination 𝑖, the mass ratio 𝑞, the temperature of the secondary component 𝑇2 , and the primary component luminosity 𝐿1 are all modifiable factors. The additional parameters are specified using the same approach as for the EK Aqr analysis. The positions of the components on the mass-radius plane and Hertzsprung-Russell diagram are then represented. | en_US |
